Re: Premiere sequence not rendering properly in AME

I have a different audio issue in AME:

I'm getting audio from a completely different project in short :20-:30 spots throughout the AME encoded file.  This only happens with mpeg2DVD files.

So, I solved my own problem after trying every weird option to render this thing....

The issue was that a particular image that I was importing from Photoshop was MUCH too large.........almost 40k pixels wide. I didn't even realize this until I turned it off and noticed that everything could render properly....made the adjustment and the renders have been successful

Posting here in case anyone has similar problems..... I didn't catch the issue in AE because my preview was always at a low res, and I would always export the render to high res... when I try to preview in high res, I get prompted with a more relevant error message.

Hope this helps others in the future!

Re: After Effects CC export to Adobe Media Encoder ends in error

I have successfully resolved my issue I am a complete beginner with editing and rendering files. I wanted to save the output file using .mp4 container but I could not select the container from the dropdown in after effects cc so I decided that I would queue the file in AME.

I was able to select the .mp4 container but it would fail encoding after a while, what I did to resolve the issue was close all adobe applications, uninstalled all codecs. Then downloaded latest version of codec pack installed that and It fixed my problem.

I was finally able to render the file in .mp4 container from within after effects cc so did not need to use AME. I have realised that even with all the codecs installed I would still not be able to render with AME the project is only to be rendered from within after effects.

Thanks for replying though I appreciate you wanting to help me out. Please feel free to close this thread as my issue is resolved now.

Re: After Effects: Why does my background revert to black when I export?

It's ridiculous. I'm sick of having to work with a solid at the bottom of every comp. You can't just select all of the layers in your comp and perform operations on them, you always have to select all, then scroll down, and deselect this extra layer. Either they should commit to the stupidity and remove the background color selection in AE, or have AME honor AE's background color, or allow AE to render with AME presets.

Iam having the same issue. I can't change the duration of each image to be just one frame.

I have been searching the same. I can import all the images in a sequence to be stitched together but they don't last one frame each. They get defaulted to a one second (or something like that) duration.

White changing to Off White in GIF Export

When I export my GIF it changes all my backgrounds from white (FFFFFF) to just barely off white (FBFBFB).

I have tested this with video exports and it's all fine, I have changed EVERY setting that can be changed, and nothing.

Here is my desired export setting:

Unfortunately as I'm trying to place these GIF images on a white website, the off-white background does not work for me, I'm at a loss!

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread but, I am also getting this error and have been on numerous videos. I can export though AE in a .mov container and Quicktime codec but would like the push through AME with H.264 and .mp4 container. It even fails when trying to export a .mov container and Quicktime codec. (I'm willing to bet it's something to do with OpenCL/CUDA) I don't really have the option to uninstall/reinstall codecs as I am on a work computer and it would be a hassle through IT.

How To Empty Queue?

$

For some reason, I have an untold number of files in my Media Encoder queue.

I can't seem to delete them (select all - delete key) and I just keep getting Not Responding.

Is there a way to start the program, clean, or force empty the queue?

At this point, I can't use Media Encoder at all.

loudness normalization does not work with multiple outputs

Hi,

I noticed, that the effect "loudness normalization" does not work properly when rendering one source to multiple outputs at the same time. I have 2 outputs (both h.264 and aac audio) and added the "loudness normalization" to both outputs, but with different settings. The results are completely different from the renderings with only one output at a time, but with identical settings. It would be nice to render to more than one output with stable results!

Or did I totally miss something?

Best,

Normann

Same problem with Adobe DNxHR/HD HQX and square PAR/DAR output from Adobe Media Encoder. Metadata in MXF QuickStat (Calibrated Software) is 1:1 (correct). Metadata of Adobe and Interpret Footage in Premiere Pro/After Effects/Adobe Media Encoder is 1:1.78 (16x9). Have to manually set PAR to 1:1 and export as H.264.

I have a sequence in Adobe Premiere that I need to export as a Motion JPEG in order for it to play from a thumb drive directly connected to a TV. This is the only sort of motion format the tv accepts....Thanks for nothing Sanyo .

PLEASE ADVISE.

Hi C. Blake,

I'm not sure why that is. Personally, I've had better luck doing doing GIFs in Photoshop, and then exporting inside Photoshop itself. I assume that you're trying to take a video or series of pictures, then and export as a motion GIF? I stumbled upon a similar issue, which can maybe help you investigate further:

white background converted in  #fbfbfb

Does any of this help?

Hi MitchW,

You have to use CC2017 for this output as it's part of the QuickTime 32bit codec set, which is no longer supported. If it's not installed, please reinstall it for this feature.

Sorry about that!

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: After Effects CC export to Adobe Media Encoder ends in error

Good luck with that error. I get it all the time.

Only way I can get some sequences to render when they fail through AME is by pushing them through the AE render as a lossless video first, then running the lossless video through ame for conversion to h264 or other. Running a pre-render can help if it's being especially stubborn. Seems to happen most often on any sequences that have more than one effect or multiple effect layers applied (I'm using only adobe effects, not 3rd party). And that's sometimes not even a given.

Have had this issue for years. Other than completely redoing a project, it's the only other way I can get around this often reported bug. Or maybe it's an official 'feature' now? Keeps you wasting hours of your time utilizing adobe products so they can claim it's being used more?

I kid. Mostly.

Hi JamesDoakes,

Can we assume that you used AfterCodecs? Let us know.

Thanks,

Kevin
