Media Encoder fails exporting in DCP with error code 3

Hello !

I am having several issues with Media Encoder.

I will talk about only one in this topic.

I am trying to export my Premiere project with the DCP Wrapper preset and it keeps on failing.

Here is the log message (in French, sorry) :

"

- Délai de codage : 00:33:21

03/28/2017 04:56:14 PM : Echec du codage

"

The project is 04:43 long so I cannot identify where the problem is.

I cleared the cache folders to prevent from a corrupted file.

I tried both to export to an external driver (USB 2.0) and to my local C driver with no success.

I cleared my preferences, uninstalled then re-installed the Creative Cloud desktop app

I am using the latest version of CC 2017 for both Premiere and Media Encoder.

My windows 8.1 is up-to-date even for the optional updates.

I have (weardly?) 2 graphic card pilots  : AMD Radeon HD 8800M Series and Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.
And (even more weardly?) 4 identical pilots for my processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz

I have 16Go of RAM .

Today, i had a "VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL" error on Windows...

Windows updated automatically 2 weeks ago and caused another kind of trouble at the time. I fixed it by re-updating Windows.

I am always getting an "Error code: 3" and "Selector: 9".

I had not so much troubles using Media Encoder except since 2 weeks.

Any idea?

Similar problem. Using latest versions of Adobe Suite CC, Media Encoder will complete an export, but afterward the program will not close, even using Force Quit on a mid-2011 27" iMac. It also freezes the computer so it cannot be shut down and must be hard-rebooted. I have uninstalled and re-installed Media Encoder twice using the Adobe CC manager, and it does not help the issue. This is clearly a BUG in the most recent release of CC, if so many people are having the same issue on different systems. I know Adobe engineering is understaffed, but this is going to cost them if they don't act to resolve the issue.

I actually couldnt be bothered looking for the preset and log folders, and just held shift when I clicked to open, and its running fine now, no issues outside losing a queue of 16 videos due to export

Using Media Encoder to convert Variable frame rate video to Constant

This was the "answered" answer on a post from 2012. vv

Hi CLCTV,

To close this thread, exports interpreted as variable frame rate are now interpreted as constant in AME CC 2014 (8.0), and later. Please create a new thread if you are still having trouble with this issue.

Thanks,

Kevin

Could someone explain with detail how Media Encoder is able to convert a Variable frame rate video to constant? I am personally working with a live stream video and trying to add front and back bumpers in post.

Thanks!

i have got the same problem as you du. I work on the same platform Mac OSX and it does the some problem to me too.  When I am rendering a lot of media and then I like to change some preferences before the video will be exported, it doesn't  do anything. What happened to you it is happening to me right now with fully updated application CC.

Red frames when encoding with Adobe Media Encoder

When I encode a file (ProRes 422) to H264 (mp4) with Adobe media encoder (v2017.0.2) red frames show up in the video. While the master file (the ProRes 422) is completely fine. Also, when I export my timeline in Premiere (v2017.0.2) directly to an MP4 it is completely fine. I have this exact same problem with exporting to MXF files.

So its looks like the problem is Adobe Media Encoder. Are more people having this problem, and how can I fix it? At this point I cannot use Adobe Media Encoder, which is a shame...

I use an iMac with macOS Sierra (v10.12.3) Late 2015.

The footage is from a Sony FS7 camera (.MXF)

Thx,

Hans

Hi,

Please see attached - on the left hand side is the adobe media encoder render using high quality settings, and on the right is the source.

I'm trying to achieve a result closer to the source. Could someone help provide me settings to achieve this?

Thanks.

Hello,

I would like to have a short video play from within  Muse-created website.   I have an MP4 file ready to use, but it seems I have to convert to OGG and WEBM to allow for  older browsers and devices where possible.   At first glance, no such conversions are poossible with "ENCODER"   I did discover a conversation on a forum dated 2011, but not much help,   What is the situation in March 2017 is there an app within CC which can handle such a task please.   I would be grateful for your advice.   If this is not possible is there a recommended piece of software that will carry out the needed conversions?

Many thanks

Tony Scott

We need a LOT more information. Screen shots of Sequence Settings and Export Settings will be most helpful. And what is the source? Dimensions of graphics being used?

Thanks

Jeff

Thanks for replying, Chisnamic.

Ideally this should not happen but still, check for the exact version of PPro & AME (from the help menu).

It could be an issue with the Adobe preferences as well.

You can try these steps:

Close all of the Adobe processes from the Task Manager and go to the following locations:

Location 1: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

Location 2: C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Adobe

In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'

Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.

Note:You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.

Hi Vidya Sagar ,

Thanks for the information.

I tried to follow the steps, but the option isn't avaiable.

While I can, and will provide additional information, I think this could be answered relatively easily by providing mp4 settings that work well with vector graphics in order to reduce this sort of degradation.

Can't help you then. I don't even know what you mean by "vector graphics" - Premiere only handles bitmapped graphics.

Have a good day

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

-Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

Exactly which version of the program do you have that is causing problems?

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers

Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

•ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version
