I also really want to shutdown your computer after completion queue Adobe Encore.
No scripts will not work, because after encoding the files go on YouTube or Vimeo and CPU utilization does not play a role.
Developers need to pay attention to it.

Hi, how can I export from my timeline into media encoder? When I go to export from premier it doesn't give many format choices.
Make sure the Sequence window is selected (yellow border around it), then choose "File > Export > Media".
If you have very limited export format options, could be a bad install. What Premiere version? Not a demo software? Can you post a screen shot of the available export formats?
Thanks

Is AME CC 2014.2 renders AE projects as set in AE prefs in multiprocessing?
Or maybe there is separate option in AME to turn on multiprocessing on AE's projects?
No. Adobe Media Encoder does not utilize the multiprocessing functionality of After Effects.
Hi Ivan,

So what is the difference between the two then? If they're both the same H264 codec why are they separated in the formats drop down menu instead of being under the same preset? I guess that's the part that's confusing me.
The H.264 codec has many implementations. Apple's version of H.264 merely seems to not have many features. Most people do not use QuickTime wrapped H.264 anyway (except a couple of camera manufacturers), so I wouldn't worry about it much.

In PP, select a sequence, Export/Media ... and the default output file is named after the sequence right?
Now, toss that same .prproj into a AME Watch folder and the new "rendering and encoding of items from projects in watch folders" feature will render all the sequences in the the root of the project...but the file names won't be named after the sequence - just after the .prproj
Who, tested....aaugh....
I've done the CC update but I'm still experiencing issues with the wrong colour on DCP exports from Premiere. What was your process when updating?

any solutions on this problem?
Can you not create a ProRes preset? I can. What happens when you try?
Thanks,

I've tried about a million things. Re-installation of Encoder, Premiere and Quicktime, clearing and relocating media cache, changing file export type... Nothing. When I click the green start button, nothing happens. Nothing starts to encode. My files are just stuck on ready. Help plz.
Oh... and I've got a deadline on Feb 1st to top it all off! Please help!
Though I got AME to work for most cases, here are some answers to the questions asked -- then I'll explain my work-around.
Workaround
Instead of encoding to the drive I usually do, I switched to a temp area on my internal drive, then I move the finished files back to my external drive.
I also bumped up the amount of memory allocated to AME from 10Mb to 13Mb of 16Mb total.
Thus far the only failures I still have are when I try encoding to YouTube or Vimeo. Both of those fail every time.
Since implementing the workaround, I've probably encoded 25-30 videos successfully (except when using the YouTube or Vimeo default settings)
Did not incur any problems prior to this latest release, btw.
Thanks for you suggestions. I'll try disabling NSL and see what happens with the YouTube and Vimeo encoders.
Also been having this issue here. 2014 Macbook Pro Retina, Latest CC everything, OS X 10.10.2 but issue also happened with 10.10.1. Media Encoder is useless to me because I cannot load an AE project into it. If I could, this would give me a lot of life and work time back because I could encode while working, which Adobe advertised to me was possible.
None of the methods work for sending a composition to AME. Importing from AME gets stuck on the Dynamic Link window while "loading project.aep" and it never finishes. Using the command in the AE Composition drop-down simply does nothing at all. I see activity in AE in the activity monitor for a minute or so then I guess it just quits trying. I also tried putting the composition and it's assets only in a new project with the same results.
I'm using the latest CC everything on a Macbook Pro Retina OS X 10.10.2 and had the same problem in 10.10.1.
Thanks for any help. I rarely post here but everyone else I found who has posted with this issue was getting ignored so I figured I would give it a shot.
I've been having a strange problem with Media Encoder CC 2014 & After Effects CC 2014. If I try to export a comp either through Media Encoder or directly from the After Effects Render Queue then it only exports audio. If I bring the AE Comp into Premiere and export from there either by sending it to Media Encoder or exporting it directly from Premiere then it exports fine and gives me audio and video.

I have the same problem in both AME and Premiere. Will report back if I find solutions. I'm on a Mac Pro running OSX 10.10.2. I'm using:
Hey All,
First post here. I have a 2009 MacPro that I have sitting around doing not a lot. I do all my editing on my MacBookPro Retina Late 2013, 2.3GHz i7 with 16GB RAM. I predominately edit R3D files in Premiere and use Audition and Speedgrade also. Obviously, rendering out of my MacBookPro Retina using the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048MB is time consuming.
I'm just wondering if Adobe Encoder used multiple GPU cards for rendering things like ProRes, h.264 etc.
I'd like to see how much I can still get out my MacPro, not for editing but for using as a render machine so i can send stuff to the MacPro and let that render out. My MacPro is a 8-core 2.26GHz. Its currently got the ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GPU in there too - which I'd obvisouly update also.
Is it worth my upgrading this, plus adding in two additional GPU cards to help accelerate encoding in AME???
Thanks in advance
Steve
Hi Kevin
I just submitted this request. Any news on when to expect it to happen?
